A file is written to a temporary location and receives its final name when the write completes. How it works

In Network settings, choose one Mac as the Monitoring Center and the others as Workstations. Confirm the matching code on both Macs.

Nearby Macs connect directly with Wi-Fi enabled and macOS Local Network permission. No internet connection or router is required.

Read only. Transfer controls stay on the workstation. Losing the monitoring connection does not stop copying.

About the connection

On your Mac: Settings → Network → View on phone. Enable access and scan the QR code with your iPhone camera. The viewer opens in Safari; no separate app is required.

The phone shows one Mac’s jobs: per-drive copy and verification, speed, time remaining, warnings and Proxy / Video Proof status. Data updates while the page is open.

The current beta works on a trusted local network. Read only, without push notifications. After restarting CardProof, enable access and connect with the new QR code.

You choose the settings — CardProof imports your media into DaVinci Resolve Studio, applies color and overlay settings, starts proxy rendering and tracks progress.

Two engines: native and DaVinci Resolve Studio.The DaVinci engine requires a separate installation of Resolve Studio.

Formats and settings

ProRes, H.264 / H.265 and DNxHR. Choose a preset, a viewing color transform and burn-in overlays with clip information.

DaVinci Resolve Studio is not included with CardProof. Available formats depend on the engine and installed tools.

This demo frame illustrates burn-in; it is not a CardProof proxy export. The timecode is relative to the start of the demo clip.

What Video Proof includes

A contact sheet with sampled frames, frame times and available metadata. The report also records any issues encountered while reading clips or extracting frames.

This example uses five frames from a real CardProof report. Sampling helps you review the material but does not replace full frame-by-frame inspection.
